    Brief

This contract involves various reinstatement works at approximately 12 buildings within Cameron Barracks, Inverness. The tasks include: 1. **Removal of Safeguarding Adaptations**: This includes the removal of pipe boxing, stairwell protection, and boxing around services and servers. All redundant materials must be disposed of off-site. 2. **Relocation of Fixtures and Furniture**: Suppliers will need to move building fixtures, fittings, and furniture to facilitate the work. It is essential to catalog existing pictures, decorations, and signs, ensuring they are returned to their original locations after the work is completed. 3. **Cleaning**: Each building must be thoroughly cleaned before redecorating. This includes cleaning floors, walls, ceilings, doors, windows, skirtings, radiators, and fixtures to remove dust, grease, and cobwebs. 4. **Surface Preparation for Redecoration**: All existing pictures, decorations, and notice boards must be removed. Surfaces should be prepared by rubbing down painted areas to remove loose paint, filling cracks and holes, and ensuring a clean surface for new paint application. 5. **Protection of Surfaces**: Before starting redecoration, all floors, furnishings, and fittings must be protected using dust sheets, masking tape, and protective sheeting. 6. **Painting**: All painted surfaces should receive a coat of primer/undercoat and two full coats of approved finish paint, with three coats on any bare surfaces. All work must comply with the manufacturer's instructions and colors approved by the project manager. 7. **Floor Covering Replacement**: Existing carpet and vinyl/laminate floor coverings will be removed and replaced with new materials. The substrate must be prepared as necessary to receive the new coverings, which will be agreed upon with the site team and project manager. This project is valued at £1,000,000 and is expected to be completed by November 3, 2025. Interested suppliers can find more details and apply through the Contracts Finder platform.
