    Brief

The Norwegian government is seeking a consultancy to conduct a research project examining attitudes towards ethnic and religious minorities in Norway. This project is part of the government's broader efforts outlined in the "Action Plan against Racism and Discrimination (2024-2027)" and related action plans addressing Muslim hostility and anti-Semitism. The research will build on previous surveys conducted in 2012, 2017, and 2022, focusing on the perceptions of Jews and Muslims in Norway. The project is set to begin in 2025 and must be completed by December 1, 2027, with a final report due on that date. Funding for this project is provided by several ministries, including the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Culture and Equality, which will coordinate the effort. The total budget for the project is up to NOK 3.3 million, excluding VAT, pending approval from the Norwegian Parliament.
