Renovation of a Children's and Youth Center in Nuremberg

The City of Nuremberg, represented by the Building Authority, is undertaking a renovation project at Untere Talgasse 8, 90403 Nuremberg, to transform the existing building into a Children's and Youth Center and a daycare facility. This property is a significant historical monument in Nuremberg, and it also features a natural monument, a 300-year-old plane tree, located in the old shooting range of the building. The renovation will include the integration of the Children's and Youth Center on the ground floor and in the column hall, as well as the daycare facility on the first floor. The vaulted cellar beneath the west wing will be designated for technical installations, and the eastern extension will include restroom facilities. The renovation work will involve hazardous material remediation, structural reinforcement of the roof structure including roofing, facade restoration, and continuation of the previously conducted energy renovation, all while ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and enhancing accessibility. Additionally, the project includes the renovation and redesign of outdoor areas by SÖR, as well as structural and restoration work on the city wall that borders the property.
