Waste Transportation Services in Paimio - Contract Suspension Notice

Lounais-Suomen Jätehuolto Oy is seeking bids for the transportation of wood, branches, and yard waste from the Paimio sorting station (Muurassuontie 4, 21530 Paimio). The contract includes loading waste at the Paimio sorting station and transporting it to designated disposal sites. A detailed description of the contract can be found in Appendix 1 of the request for proposals. The procurement process has been suspended because the selected bidder did not submit the required documents on time. Additionally, there were uncertainties regarding the bidder's ability to fulfill the contract as per the procurement decision. Since the validity period of other bidders' offers has expired, and the procurement cannot proceed as originally planned, the process is being suspended. According to Section 125 of the Public Procurement Act (1397/2016), the contracting authority may suspend the procurement process for justified reasons. In this case, the justified reasons include uncertainties regarding the bidder's capability and the impossibility of entering into a contract with the selected bidder. This notice does not constitute a new procurement decision. The procurement process will end without a contract being formed. The contracting authority plans to publish a new procurement opportunity in the summer of 2025.
