Public Transport Services in Sorø Municipality

Trafikselskabet Movia is seeking suppliers for public transport services in Sorø Municipality, as per the procurement notice no. 18221-2025. This contract involves providing municipal bus services, which will primarily be special route services, amounting to approximately 6,400 hours of driving per year with 9 operational buses (5 large buses and 4 minibuses). The requirements for the bus materials are detailed in Contract Annex A - Requirements and Operating Conditions. The operation is set to begin on February 16, 2026, with a standard contract duration until a date specified by Movia in February 2034. The contract is non-terminable by Movia during the first 6 years of operation, but Movia can terminate it with a written notice of at least 12 months, with the earliest termination possible at the end of the 6th year or at any time thereafter. The services are expected to be performed using diesel buses, with potential replacement to zero-emission buses during the contract period as per Contract Annex A, section 1.1. This procurement is specifically for municipal transport tasks, meaning that the same color and interior requirements as Movia's regular route tenders do not apply, and there is no need to install travel card equipment. A significant deviation from Movia's regular route tender is that the Municipality will establish the schedules in collaboration with the operator based on discussions between the Municipality's designated transport coordinators and the operator. The services outlined in the tender plans primarily include school transport, with the possibility of including other services such as swimming transport. The transport must be conducted under a special route permit, making it the operator's responsibility to obtain the necessary permits. During periods when the bus is not performing the described school transport, regular route services, such as shopping buses, may be initiated by agreement with the Municipality and Movia. This service will be conducted under Movia's general permit for regular transport. The transport will be charged at the same hourly rate as submitted in the tender documents. Additionally, proposals are sought for occasional transport of up to 200 hours per year, which can occur on weekdays between 06:00 and 23:59. This transport is not considered regular transport but rather bus transport, and must comply with the relevant regulations. This service should be performed with tourist buses.
