    Brief

This contract is part of the Climate Resilient Investment in Cities (CIVIC) program, which aims to assist cities in Africa, Asia, and Latin America in developing sustainable urban infrastructure projects. The Cities Finance Facility (CFF) provides technical assistance to help cities create finance-ready investment proposals for climate change mitigation and adaptation. The CFF focuses on enhancing the capacity of city employees and facilitating knowledge sharing. The project, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, will run from November 2024 to December 2027 with a budget of EUR 20 million. It targets urban sectors such as mobility, renewable energy, and waste management, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote resilient development. The contract seeks to improve the ability of partner cities to develop inclusive urban development plans, create finance-ready infrastructure projects, and enhance their capacity to link projects to financing.
