Public Housing Renovation Project in Verviers, Belgium

The City of Verviers is seeking architectural services for the complete renovation of existing buildings into public housing. This project includes the transformation of some buildings while retaining commercial spaces on the ground floor. Some buildings were damaged during the July 2021 floods and will require a preliminary health condition assessment. Renovation studies and works will be subject to the ministerial decree of September 29, 2023, which grants optional subsidies to category 1 municipalities for the redevelopment of public housing following the floods. The project author will need to comply with the technical requirements outlined in the decree. The contract is divided into two lots: Lot 1 involves the renovation of a property located at Crapaurue 121-125, and Lot 2 involves the renovation of four properties located at Rue du Brou 8-10 and 12-14, Rue Ortmans 10, and Rue Peltzer de Clermont 111. Bidders can submit offers for one or both lots, but only one lot will be awarded to each bidder. The project aims to create commercial spaces and residential units, with specific budgets allocated for each lot.
