Open-House Discount Contracts for Pharmaceuticals in Germany 2025

The health insurance funds (whether HEK and/or hkk participate in the respective lot is determined by the designation of the respective lot) aim to enter into discount contracts with all suitable pharmaceutical companies according to § 130a Abs. 8 SGB V for the active ingredients, combinations of active ingredients, or forms of administration, strengths, or finished medicinal products specified in the respective lot. The pharmaceuticals covered by the contract are, unless exceptions are specified in the contract, always all interchangeable finished medicinal products of the contracting partner according to the framework contract on pharmaceutical supply in accordance with § 129 Abs. 2 SGB V. The contract is concluded within the framework of the Open-House procedure: Individual negotiations on contract contents will not be conducted, and uniform conditions apply. The health insurance funds do not guarantee exclusivity to individual contracting partners. The contract duration is generally a maximum of 24 months, starting no earlier than July 1, 2025 (any differing start times are specified in the respective lot). The contract ends no later than June 30, 2027 (any exceptions are specified in the respective lot), regardless of the date of contract conclusion.
