Construction of New Koivupuhdon School

This project involves the construction of a new Koivupuhdon School in Merijärvi, Finland, under a KVR contract, where the contractor is responsible for both design and construction. The school will serve primary and secondary education, accommodating approximately 200 students. The building will feature wooden exterior walls and reinforced concrete load-bearing structures. The functional and spatial requirements have been meticulously planned, with only minor adjustments expected during the implementation phase. This project does not include the demolition of other buildings, as it is a standalone initiative. The total area of the new building is approximately 2622 square meters (net) / 3055 square meters (gross). Additionally, the contractor will be responsible for planning changes to the yard area to support the overall functionality of the school. The design task is considered demanding.
