Laboratory Services for Medical Testing

The Correctional Health Care Unit (also referred to as the "Purchasing Unit" or "Client") is requesting bids for the procurement of laboratory testing services as outlined in this request for proposals. The laboratory tests sought include blood and urine samples, mucosal and secretion samples, as well as stool samples. The staff of the Correctional Health Care Unit will be responsible for sample collection and will make research requests based on the samples. The scope of the procurement and its requirements are detailed in this request for proposals, as well as in the procurement documents and draft contract. The Correctional Health Care Unit will select one (1) Supplier for each of the five (5) areas of service through a competitive bidding process. The contract will commence upon signing and will be valid for a fixed term of two (2) years. The Client reserves the right to extend the contract for two (2) additional one (1) year periods. The contract does not include a minimum purchase obligation and does not grant the Supplier exclusive rights to provide services to the Client.
