Munich Cycling Path Planning Services

The City of Munich is seeking services for the planning and environmental assessment of a new cycling path, known as the Munich Northern Cycling Path (RSMN). This path will connect key areas from Lenbachplatz through various streets to the northern city limits, linking to existing cycling routes towards Garching and Unterschleißheim. The project is divided into seven planning sections, with the current focus on sections 2 to 7. Section 2, which runs from Odeonsplatz to Siegestor, will involve a landscape planning competition. The project will require environmental assessments and studies on vegetation and wildlife, as well as coordination with a landscape architecture firm for the redesign of public green spaces affected by the cycling path construction. The total length of the planned cycling path is approximately 9 km, covering an area of 89.2 hectares. The work will be awarded to a single contractor to maximize efficiency and synergy. Each planning section will have separate billing, and work is expected to start promptly on sections 2 and 5.
