    Brief

The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) is seeking suppliers to assist in designing a Behavioural Framework for Emergencies. This framework will focus on common principles and tailored approaches for managing rare, high-consequence incidents. The aim is to enhance the effectiveness of policies and operational delivery by leveraging insights from behavioural science. Suppliers will be tasked with various projects that may include assessing gaps in current behavioural science literature, developing user journeys to identify barriers and enablers to specific behaviours, and designing evidence-based interventions. The work will contribute to Defra's strategic environmental goals, including the Environmental Improvement Plan 2023 and achieving Net Zero. Interested suppliers should be prepared to engage in rapid project assignments and collaborate closely with Defra's Strategic Behavioural Insights Team.
