Brief

Incommunities Limited seeks an experienced and qualified Scaffolding Contractor to design, supply, install, maintain, and dismantle temporary scaffolding handrail systems for residential tower blocks with defective concrete balustrades and walkways. The contractor will ensure resident safety by providing continuous temporary handrails pending permanent repairs. Key responsibilities include site surveys, design of temporary systems, installation of scaffold components and edge protection, routine maintenance and inspections, and safe dismantling upon completion. Initial Year 1 works cover two 9-storey residential tower blocks in Bradford (Kelvin House and Ogden House), each containing 55-57 flats with interconnecting bridges. The contract is awarded on a JCT Measured Term Contract 2016 basis for 12 months from 6 July 2026, with options to extend for up to two further 12-month periods until 5 July 2029 at the Employer's discretion. Indicative annual work value is £0-£200,000 with no volume guarantee. Future years may include similar works to additional high-rise residential blocks (Thorpe Edge Blocks: Gerard House, Ailsa House, Thorold House, and Waryn House). This contract is awarded through Mini Competition from Lot 1 of the EN:Procure Dynamic Purchasing System for Scaffolding and Associated Services.
