Speech and Language Therapy Services for Children

This opportunity involves delivering speech and language therapy interventions to children with communication, swallowing, or eating difficulties across Hackney's education and early years settings. Services will include: direct one-to-one interventions aligned with each child's Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP); indirect support through staff training and guidance for parents and carers; and expert consultation to mainstream schools and early years providers. Speech and Language Therapists will be integrated into the Hackney Experts at Hand team, supporting the Department for Education's initiative to build capacity in mainstream education settings to better serve children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The service will operate across Young Hackney, Youth Justice Virtual School, Schools, and Early Years provision, providing a new pathway for education settings to access expert health professional support.
