    Brief

    The National Institute for Research and Development in Electrical Engineering ICPE-CA Bucharest is seeking to procure four sets of high-capacity lithium batteries. This procurement is part of the DREAM Project (ROBG00169), which focuses on evaluating and monitoring the environmental conditions of the Danube River. The project is funded under the Interreg VI-A Romania-Bulgaria program, aiming to enhance nature protection, biodiversity, and green infrastructure while reducing pollution. The high-capacity lithium batteries will power the electric equipment for the propulsion and auxiliary systems of a 12-meter catamaran designed for environmental monitoring. This catamaran will be equipped with solar panels to increase its autonomy and will feature two redundant propulsion systems for enhanced safety. Additionally, the vessel will have a display showing real-time energy consumption and remaining battery reserve. Key specifications for the vessel include a length of 10-15 meters, a displacement of 12-15 tons, a maximum speed of 12 km/h, and a total propulsion power requirement of 40-60 kW, supplied by two independent groups. The main battery will provide 12Vcc, 60-100Ah for controls, while the secondary batteries will supply 48Vcc with a total stored energy between 128 and 160 kWh, grouped in four independent batteries. The vessel will also have a cabin covering at least 50% of its surface.
