    Brief

Donegal County Council (DCC) is seeking suppliers to develop a dedicated cycle and pedestrian corridor between Bundoran and Ballyshannon. This project aims to create a safe and environmentally friendly route exclusively for non-motorised travel, enhancing the quality of life in the area. The proposed corridor will be located on the northern side of the R267 and will feature a 3-meter wide shared path for cyclists and pedestrians, starting 140 meters west of the Bundoran Roundabout and extending 3.5 kilometers. As the route approaches Ballyshannon, it will separate into a 2-meter wide pedestrian walkway and a 3-meter wide two-way cycle track leading to the Ballyshannon roundabout. The overall goal is to establish a 5-kilometer Greenway along the R267, promoting safety for all road users, boosting tourism, fostering economic growth, and enhancing cultural and community well-being.
