Water Resource Study in France

This contract involves a comprehensive study to determine the maximum sustainable water extraction volumes necessary to maintain aquatic life during low water periods, as defined by the decree of June 23, 2021, concerning the watersheds of the Galets River and its tributaries. The study will be conducted in five phases: 1) Characterization of sub-basins and aquifers, and data collection; 2) Assessment of existing water extractions, analysis of historical trends, and future demand projections; 3) Temporal quantification of existing water resources and the impact of extractions; 4) Evaluation of the sensitivity of aquatic environments during low water periods; 5) a) Establishing management objectives for low water periods, including target flow rates and allowable extraction volumes, and b) proposing a distribution of allowable extraction volumes among various uses. At the end of each phase, the contractor will deliver a detailed report as specified in the contract documents.
