Brief
The City of Helsinki's social, health, and rescue services is seeking bids for hygiene aids and their accessories and spare parts. These aids will be procured for various operational units across the entire sector, as well as for medical rehabilitation aids for clients. The goal of this procurement process is to establish a framework agreement for the purchase of hygiene aids for the City of Helsinki's social, health, and rescue services. The procurement is divided into the following categories: - Category 1: Toilet boards - Category 2: Removable toilet seat risers - Category 3: Handheld toilet seat risers - Category 4: Legged toilet seat risers - Category 5: XL-sized legged toilet seat risers - Category 6: Handrails for toilet seats - Category 7: Shower stools - Category 8: Non-wheeled shower chairs - Category 9: XL-sized non-wheeled shower chairs - Category 10: Wheeled shower chairs - Category 11: XL-sized wheeled shower chairs - Category 12: Tilt-in-space wheeled shower chairs - Category 13: Hydraulic height-adjustable tilt-in-space wheeled shower chairs - Category 14: Electric height-adjustable tilt-in-space wheeled shower chairs. Detailed descriptions of the items are provided in the tender documents. The contract period for agreements based on this procurement procedure begins upon signing and ends on August 30, 2026, after which the contracts may be extended at the buyer's discretion for two (2) additional one (1) year periods. The buyer may choose to exercise the options simultaneously. The City of Helsinki and HUS are planning a joint hospital for somatic and psychiatric care in the Helsinki Laakso area, which is expected to have approximately 900 hospital beds. The first phase of the hospital is anticipated to be completed between 2027 and 2028. Hygiene aids will be procured for departmental use and for clients to borrow for home use. Exact quantities of the various aids are not currently available. The contracting unit has estimated the total value of this procurement based on the preliminary need for hygiene aids in the joint hospital. During the upcoming contract period, larger projects may be tendered through a simplified procurement process (mini-competition) among selected suppliers under the framework agreement. This procedure is described in more detail in the draft contract (Annex 2).
