The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) is seeking a single supplier to provide comprehensive servicing, inspection, maintenance, and repair services for its compressed air equipment across Great Britain. Key Requirements: - National service coverage across Great Britain - Support for 16 operational compressor units, reducing to approximately 9 sites during the contract period - Maintenance of equipment ranging from 1 to 40 years old with varying specifications - Both planned and reactive maintenance services - Potential supply and installation of replacement compressor units where existing equipment cannot be economically repaired - Cost-effective and reliable service delivery throughout contract duration Context: DVSA is transforming its vehicle testing services by reducing Government Vehicle Testing Stations (GVTS) and expanding use of privately operated Authorised Testing Facilities (ATFs) and Vehicle Examination Facilities (VEFs). This estate rationalisation will result in fewer sites requiring air compressor support over the contract period. The successful supplier must demonstrate capability to maintain and support equipment of different ages and configurations, ensure continued safe and efficient operation, and provide nationally coordinated service delivery.
