Boiler and Heating System Replacement at The Monastery Manchester

The Monastery of St Francis & Gorton Trust is seeking qualified Mechanical and Electrical contractors for a boiler replacement and heating system upgrade at The Monastery Manchester, a Grade II* listed heritage building. The scope of work includes: removal and installation of new high-efficiency gas-fired boilers, replacement of the flue dilution system with a new vertical extract flue routed through the roof, upgrades to hot water equipment and pumps, Building Management System (BMS) upgrades, electrical and controls work, thermal insulation installation, system commissioning, and preparation of as-fitted documentation. The project will take approximately six weeks starting July 2026 and must be completed within a sensitive historic environment. Contractors must have proven experience delivering mechanical and electrical installations in listed or conservation buildings, with appropriate insurance and technical credentials. Site visits are strongly encouraged prior to tender submission. Tender documents are available for download, and completed submissions must be received electronically by 13:00 on Tuesday in June 2026. This project is subject to planning and listed building consent approval.
