    Brief

This year-round autism employment support programme offers paid internship placements for young people aged 18-25, delivered through flexible quarterly cohorts rather than seasonal summer-only placements. The programme includes: paid internships with a recommended minimum duration of 8 weeks; bespoke three-hour training sessions for line managers and hosting teams; comprehensive job design and recruitment support including accessible job descriptions and inclusive recruitment processes; workplace adjustment guidance and candidate adjustment passports; pre-placement preparation and onboarding support; and ongoing delivery through weekly check-ins, email and telephone support, and regular feedback. The proposed model delivers four cohorts annually with approximately five interns per cohort, allowing four months for planning each cycle. Additional support includes assistance with security checks and pre-placement meetings to ensure successful integration into the workplace.
