West Yorkshire Manufacturing and Engineering FE Industry Partnerships Pilot

West Yorkshire Combined Authority is seeking a supplier to design, develop, and deliver a pilot project that strengthens partnerships between engineering and manufacturing businesses in West Yorkshire and the region's Further Education colleges and independent training providers. The pilot will create a structured programme enabling industry experts to support curriculum delivery in FE settings for 16-19 and adult learners across T Levels, apprenticeships, adult skills courses, and study programmes. The supplier will conduct an initial research and design phase, then mobilise and deliver the pilot, managing relationships between industry and education partners, coordinating collaboration opportunities, tracking progress against targets, and identifying a sustainable model for ongoing industry engagement. The successful supplier must have established experience liaising between education and industry, with existing networks among West Yorkshire-based businesses of all sizes, and the ability to identify and help address gaps in tutor capacity and specialist manufacturing and engineering knowledge within FE provision.
