Crisis Media Management Services for the Northern Lighthouse Board

The Northern Lighthouse Board seeks a contractor to provide comprehensive Crisis Media Management services from July 2026 for four years. The contractor must be available 24/7/365 to support the organization during serious incidents. Core Crisis Response Services: - Operate a dedicated press office with a dedicated phone line for media inquiries - Manage NLB's social media channels and website during incidents - Advise and support NLB spokespeople on media engagement - Deploy a media adviser to the incident scene or nearby to manage media and support spokespeople - Maintain and manage confidential NLB staff contact and asset information securely - Maintain and update a comprehensive media contacts database - Provide current details of assigned advisers to NLB Additional Services (Ad-hoc): - Provide guidance to NLB's Communications Officer on managing negative social media and press engagement - Deliver media training for NLB spokespeople covering interview techniques, press conferences, public statements, message delivery, and crisis communication across TV, radio, print, and digital platforms - Conduct crisis management exercises at NLB's Edinburgh headquarters or Oban Base NLB will provide key staff contact information and asset details; the contractor must store this information securely and use it only for incidents or exercises per NLB's written or verbal instructions.
