Construction of Substation Base for A66 Northern Trans-Pennine Project

Kier Transportation is seeking experienced contractors to construct a new substation base at the Scheme 6 Warcop compound, part of the A66 Northern Trans-Pennine Scheme. This project involves installing a new switch kiosk, including its base and connecting ducting. The A66 upgrade aims to convert single-lane sections of the 80km route between the M6 and A1 into dual carriageway and improve key junctions. The project will be executed by three main contractors: Balfour Beatty, Kier, and Aureos. We will apply the Build UK Common Assessment Criteria (CAS) to ensure all bidders meet a consistent standard of business competence.
