Construction of a New Ambulance Station in Wittmund

The Wittmund Emergency Service plans to build a new ambulance station in the district town of Wittmund, which will include an administrative area and parking spaces. The necessary land will be provided by the Wittmund district under a leasehold agreement. It is located at the currently under-construction connection of Dohuser Weg to B210 in 26409 Wittmund. The Wittmund Emergency Service will have a site of 1.25 hectares for the construction. The ambulance station must accommodate not only the operational emergency vehicles but also several reserve vehicles and vehicles for major incident response. A total of 11 parking spaces must be created in a vehicle hall, with one designated as a washing area. An expansion reserve for two additional parking spaces must also be planned. The ambulance station will include functional rooms, overnight readiness rooms, and central storage for consumables, medical products, and operational clothing. Additionally, a sufficiently sized training room for the central training and further education of the emergency personnel will be constructed. The administrative section will cover areas such as central ambulance management, personnel processing, finance, and management. According to initial cost estimates, the costs for construction category 300 are estimated at approximately 2.0 million EUR net, and for construction category 400 at approximately 835,000 EUR net.
