Footpath Upgrades at Hatfield Peverel

This project involves the improvement and maintenance of two public rights of way footpaths in Hatfield Peverel. Footpath 20 requires widening and resurfacing works, including building up the side of the existing footpath alongside the allotment site to the cemetery gate (approximately 73m) and excavating and resurfacing the main footpath from the cemetery to Sportsmans Lane (approximately 565m x 1.5m wide) using compacted road planings. Footpath 22 requires similar excavation and resurfacing works from its junction with Footpath 20 to Ulting Road (approximately 172m x 1.5m wide), also using compacted road planings. All works will maintain the boundary-side alignment to avoid encroaching into adjacent fields, with careful edge blending and removal of excavated spoil from site. The project aims to improve pedestrian and vehicle access while preserving the character of these established walking routes.
