Public Health Funerals Service - Supplier Information Session

Ipswich Borough Council is seeking funeral service providers to deliver public health funeral services. This is a statutory service for arranging dignified funerals when no family members are able to do so. The Council expects to arrange 20-30 public health funerals annually, primarily direct cremations unless the deceased's faith or written instructions require burial. Key Requirements: - Collect and transport deceased to Ipswich Cemetery and Crematorium within 30 minutes - Provide appropriate storage and care of the deceased - Complete statutory documentation and liaison with relevant agencies - Provide suitable coffins for burial or cremation - Attend burials and cremations with trained staff - Deliver all services with dignity, professionalism and respect Contract Details: - Initial term: 24 months with option to extend for a further 24 months (maximum 4 years) - Estimated contract value: £80,000 over the maximum four-year term Supplier Information Session: Attend an information session to learn about the requirements, procurement process, and have your questions answered.
