Brief

Incommunities Limited seeks an experienced scaffolding contractor to design, supply, install, maintain and remove temporary handrail systems on concrete balustrades and walkways at occupied residential tower blocks. This work addresses structural defects identified by engineers and ensures resident safety while permanent repairs are planned. Key Responsibilities: - Survey and inspect all affected areas - Design temporary scaffolding handrail systems - Supply and install scaffold components - Provide edge protection to exposed areas - Conduct routine inspections and maintenance - Safely dismantle and reinstate on completion Contract Details: - JCT Measured Term Contract 2016 basis - Initial 12-month term commencing 6 July 2026 - Optional extension: up to two further 12-month periods (available until 5 July 2029) - Anticipated annual work value: £0-£200,000 (no volume guarantee) - No minimum workload commitment Initial Year 1 Works: Two residential tower blocks in Bradford require temporary handrails: - Kelvin House, Danecourt Road (57 flats across 9 storeys) - Ogden House, Danecourt Road (55 flats and offices across 9 storeys) Future Years: Incommunities may extend similar works to additional tower blocks (Gerard House, Ailsa House, Thorold House, and Waryn House in the Thorpe Edge area) at their discretion. This contract is awarded via Mini Competition through the EN:Procure Dynamic Purchasing System for Scaffolding and Associated Services.
