Student Wellbeing Support Service (Out of Hours)

This service provides mental health and wellbeing support for university students outside standard operating hours. The service will operate from 4:30pm to 8:30am (including weekends and weekdays) and must include crisis support capabilities. Key requirements: The service must be free to access, respond within one minute, provide immediate telephone and text support from BACP-qualified counsellors (level 4 or above), and not use triage systems. The provider must offer language support in Hindi, Nigerian, and Nepalese for non-native English speakers. Safeguarding procedures must be in place for children and vulnerable adults, with risk assessment and escalation protocols for high-risk situations. The service must verify that only eligible university students access the support. Interested suppliers should detail their verification methods and available options. Counsellor supervision must meet BACP recommendations.
