Sport Wales Education Consultant Framework Agreement

Sport Wales is seeking to appoint up to 12 experienced education consultants through a framework agreement to support and strengthen physical education (PE), school sport, and physical activity (PESSPA) delivery across Wales' education sector. Key Objectives: - Establish a qualified consultant network to deliver Sport Wales' education priorities on a call-off basis - Improve the quality, consistency, and inclusivity of PESSPA provision in schools - Support schools in implementing whole-school physical activity approaches aligned with the Curriculum for Wales - Increase teacher confidence and competence in delivering high-quality PESSPA opportunities - Strengthen the Health and Wellbeing Area of Learning and Experience (physical aspect) Consultant Expertise Areas: - Professional learning and teacher development - School and system support - Programme delivery and evaluation - Supporting practitioners and school leaders to develop understanding and capability - Implementation of initiatives such as Daily Active - Digital resource and CITBAG platform development and enhancement Expected Outcomes: - Enhanced quality and consistency of PESSPA across Welsh schools - Greater alignment with national curriculum requirements - Evidence-based insights on effective educational approaches - Development of accessible, high-quality resources for teachers and practitioners - Contribution to improved health, wellbeing, and lifelong participation in sport and physical activity This framework will translate national strategy into practical delivery within schools and education settings across Wales.
