DWP Media Licence Agreement with NLA Media Access Limited

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has awarded a direct contract to NLA Media Access Limited for ongoing access to UK and international newspaper and magazine content. This licence supports DWP's operational activities, media monitoring, and strategic communications functions. NLA Media Access Limited is the sole collective licensing body authorised to grant multi-publisher copying, sharing, and internal distribution rights for UK newspaper and magazine content. The contract has been awarded under Section 41 of the Procurement Act 2023 based on exclusive rights, as NLA is the only organisation capable of providing this service. No competitive tender process was undertaken due to the absence of reasonable alternatives and the urgent need to maintain continuous, legally compliant access to licensed content.
